The support Home-Start gives is very cost effective. Home-Start Brentwood has 3 full time and two part time members of staff that support 33 volunteers. Over the past year we have supported over 100 families. We also employ occasional sessional workers. Home-Start Brentwood is fortunate to have a Service Level Agreement with our local Social Services Department which accounts for approximately 50% of our funding at the present time. Also we have been granted funding from the National Lotteries Charities Board which is supporting us for 3 years until January 2003. However, it is vital to the scheme that we continue to secure funding to continue the services that Home-Start Brentwood provide to the local community.
